On Thursday, July 26, 2018, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) conducted a launching event to introduce Scania
New Truck Generation (Scania NTG) to its customers, taken place at Hall C3, JIEXPO Kemayoran, Jakarta. The event was hosted by United Tractors President Director, Gidion Hasan; United Tractors Marketing Director, Loudy Irwanto Ellias; Scania Senior Vice President of Trucks Sales and Marketing, Alexander Vlaskamp; and Scania Director Mining Sales and Marketing, Sven-Erik Gustafsson.
Scania NTG is a new range of Scania products as the result of 10 years of development work by Scania engineers, with more than 10 million kilometers of test driving and involving SEK 20 billions of investment. As once declared by Henrik Henriksson, President and CEO Scania, the initiative was the biggest investment in Scania’s 127 year of history. This new generation of Scania promotes unique modular system, supply more performance stages, connectivity and comprehensive palette of productivity-enhancing services, as well as sustainable transport solutions that are customized for each type of customer in the highly competitive transportation industry.
Scania NTG covers all range of Scania product types. For the application in Indonesia, Scania NTG features up to 5% more fuel efficiency, 20% increase component lifetime and 25% more payload (for heavy tipper trucks), thanks to improved powertrain and better aerodynamics. These features represent Scania’s commitment as leader in sustainable transport that is based on three pillars: smart & safe transport, alternative fuels & electrification and energy efficiency.
